Tasting Notes: cherry + blueberry + violets

Fleurie red wines are made from Gamay grapes, and have a brilliant colour with garnet and violet nuances. This Villa Ponciago has a fine, elegant nose developing notes of cherry and blueberry followed by violets and peonies. An expressive palate with freshness highlighting balance between structure and aromatic richness. The maturity of the grapes gives the concentration and density specific to great wines but with extreme finesse and elegance of Fleurie. A long finish with delicate, spicy touches.
